March, Wednesday 26, 1862

   Manassas Junction

Morning: Five o'clock reveille,

Breakfast rations.

Eight o'clock line up.

Nine thirty o'clock March.

Twelve o'clock rest in Prince William Company.

Beautiful weather.

March until seven o'clock in the evening.

We are wading through the Cedar Run, General Stahl braving death ahead with the flag.

Departure from Cedar Run.

Warrenton Junction, Fauquier County, Va.

We come upon Sumners Division forming into one Army Corps.

All are camping on a large hill. Countless watchfires, tentposts.

Coffee and bacon (flour)

Ration wagons are missing.
